Two words: Cold and expensive. Switzerland is naturally beautiful–that is not up for negotiation. Just look at the mountains. We took a train from the airport to get to Interlaken and the views of the towns and the mountain range along the way were stunning!
However, unless you want to engage in winter sports or other activities, it probably isn’t the best place to spend your time nor money. …and let me tell you, it is extremely expensive. The currency used in Switzerland is called Swiss Franks. It’s almost double the dollar or more. Unbelievable!
The houses are very cabin like, many of them made out of wood. The lake that was in the area had the bluest water. It was gorgeous. Not very many people roamed the streets. People were indoors and even myself, I was uncomfortable most of my trip because I was just cold. I was always looking for a place to drink hot chocolate.
I saw a cool tree trunk that was carved with a face…who had time to do this? I had a short time in Switzerland…about 2 days to be exact. Not sure if I’ll ever come back…
